When success on the field creates an impact off the field: Kicking for Kids

Raymond James and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have teamed up for more than 20 years to support local children’s hospitals – one kick at a time.

Since our founding in 1962, Raymond James has been committed to giving back to the communities in which we live and work – and we’re proud to continue this legacy through our partnership with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Since 2000, Raymond James and the Buccaneers have teamed up to support patients and families through the Kicking for Kids program, pledging a donation for every field goal made. This season, Raymond James committed $1,500 per field goal to three designated Tampa Bay-area children’s hospitals.

Thanks to kicker Ryan Succop, the Bucs notched 28 successful three-pointers throughout the regular season and post season, bringing our 2020 donation to a collective $42,000 – benefiting Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg, St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa, and Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children in Orlando.

“I love knowing that the work that I put in on the field not only helps my team but also helps the future leaders of our community,” Succop said.

Guests were joined by Succop and former Buccaneers kicker Martín Gramática, who taught the kids a thing or two about kicking between the goal posts.

“This partnership started when I was kicking back in 2000 – all I had to do was my job, and the better I did my job, the more money we raised,” Gramática said. “I’m super proud that (the program) is still going.”

Since the Raymond James Kicking for Kids program began in 2000, Raymond James has donated more than $490,000 to local children’s hospitals.

"It was an honor to be able to spend an afternoon with some of the courageous children undergoing treatment at these hospitals," Jenson said. "These kids are so full of joy – their excitement was palpable. I am full of admiration for the families we met and enormously grateful to the hospital workers who care for them every day."
